Catalog presentation

REFLECS (REFerence catalogue of Long term CNES Scientific data) is the CNES clearinghouse. It is part of the CNES SERAD project (Service for Data Referencing and Archiving).

REFLECS is a metadata repository that catalogues CNES missions and data (in which CNES has been involved). Metadata is used here in the sense of descriptive information given about the referenced data, in order to discover or search sets of data. This catalogue contains data relevant to all the scientific domains dealing with space: Earth Observation, Space Sciences, Microgravity (Life Sciences and Condensed Matter Sciences), and thus is destined to different scientific communities as well as general public.

Here, you will find descriptions on data collected over more than 30 years. REFLECS constitutes an invaluable resource (and the only way) to examine space missions over the long term with such a considerable amount of data at your fingertips.

REFLECS offers you different ways to discover the data you need (see also the help menu): a simple search based on words (completion proposed on metadata keywords), an advanced search based on multiple criteria with precise refinement based on keywords, and a search based on scientific classification. You can search all scientific domains at once, or a single domain.

All metadata are accessible to the general public. Some final data results may be restricted.

Enjoy your search!
